Conclusion
If you’re looking for a good, well built lift chair, the Cloud from Golden Technologies is a good choice. It features dual motors, an infinite lift design, and is comfortable to sit in. Some users complained that the seat can get worn out however. The price, $1,500 is very high for the chair so make sure it is the one you want before buying. There are models between $500 and $700 online. We rate this lift chair 4 out of 5 stars. Buy on Amazon
I bought the PR-510-SME chair. I found it hard and difficult to get out of. Compared to other lift chairs is is strictly a medium size chair and if you are 5’7″ or taller you should go for the large. I liked the dual motors and infinite position, but in the end I had to go buy a “Best Furniture” lift chair (at half the price), which is much more comfortable and easier to get out of when wanting to get up. My husband has been trying to sit in the PR-510-SME (he said it was too expensive to get rid of) and if he sits more than 30 minutes complains of back and leg pain which he doesn’t have in other chairs. He is the same height I am, so they would have suggested the same size chair for him. The padding in this chair is hard foam and tends to cut off circulation in my legs.
After owning my GOLDEN lift chair for about 1 year, I noticed that the fabric had already begun to peel. At first, there was only minor peeling. I wasn’t too concerned for I had a lifetime warranty, therefore, I was in no rush to contact GOLDEN TECHNOLOGIES about my problem. However, the peeling continued (very bad). I contacted GOLDEN TECHNOLOGIES by telephone. Their representative had another representative to called me. I was informed by him that there is no warranty on the fabric or against peeling. However, I can make a purchase from him for $800.00, which would be of material that would not peel. ROBERT GOLDEN, CEO should see my $400.00 chair fabric and compare it to GOLDEN’s $1400.00 chair fabric. Then, if he has sincere interest in his“Valued Customers’”satisfaction, he should seek the same or similar quality fabric for his overpriced chairs. Well, I have given one star as others have done because without giving at least one star, I could not leave a review. I would have preferred to have given GOLDEN TECHNOLOGIES a negative 5.
